The approximately 10,000 square kilometers of extensive nature is also known as “ Small Canada ” because of its beautiful nature.
From Alcatraz it is possible to paddle around for one or more days or even weeks and to build up your tent every night on another island or campground to spend the night. To stay overnight at the shelter places, you need a nature card from the DANO. Whether you travel alone, with a friend or with a group does not matter.
We help you with all your needs.
We may even transport you or pick you up from another location. Your vehicle remains parked during the trip on our private property.
A place to Explore
It is possible to rent a canoe for an hour, but it is also possible to book an all-inclusive canoe trekking with or without the guide.
The canoes we rent out are (2 persons) Aluminum Canadian Linder INKAS 525 which has 400 Liters of loading weight! The life vests and paddles are included in the price. Are you with 3 persons, then you can book an extra seat.
1 Day rental time: Pick up from 09.30 in the morning until 20.00 in the evening. If you want to stay overnight you book for 2 days.
We help you planning a nice route while checking in at the reception.
Feel free to bring your dog when you book a canoe with us! You can rent a dog life jacket with us!

Biking

Sweden has a lot of roads with little or no traffic. Ideal for trips on (mountain)bikes.
Specially the diverse paths cross the woods gives you lots of possibilities to bike.
We have different sizes of bikes and also a small buggy that you can put behind to transport little kids.

The combination of fantastic fishing waters, low population density and untouched nature, Sweden seems almost made for fishing.
Sweden has an extensive and varied lake system, with many lakes offering a wide variety of species, from trout and pike to perch and whitefish. Fishing methods vary from lake to lake, with anglers able to choose from spinning, trolling, bait fishing, jigging and fly fishing.
Fishing licenses are required, but they are available at Alcatraz.
We rent out fishing rods and you can buy bait at the reception. Rent one of our aluminum fishing boats:

“10 Essential Tips for Fishing in Lakes in Sweden”.
1. Use the right bait: Depending on the time of year and type of fish you are targeting, you will need to use different types of bait. Consider using spinners, plugs, jerkbaits, worms, larvae, minnows, and small pieces of fish.

Our climbing wall is suitable for experienced climbers as well as beginning climbers.
You will be guided by one of our instructors.
The challenge is to reach the top straight through the middle and to tip the roof.
When reached without cheating you get to pick an ice cream!

Our guide will help you with (safety-) instructions about the bow and arrow, how to handle, to stand in the right position, to aim and to shoot.
Everybody gets their turn to work on their skills.
The challenge is to win in the end by playing a little competition.

Our guide will help you with (safety-) instructions about the axe, how to handle, to stand in the right position, to aim and to throw.
